Maria Christopoulou

Maria Christopoulou was born in Patras, Greece in 1994 and has been on her toes, rediscovering the world ever since. An enquiring mind, waltzing along architecture and literature, theory, art and science, she is constantly in search for new apparatuses that evoke social interaction through every scale, celebrating people’s lives by generating intriguing urban events and extraordinary narratives.

Graduated from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Department of Architecture Engineering, her research and design thesis was concerned with the creation of a model society, a sociopolitical manifesto working its ways through philosophy, festival architecture and everyday incidence.

Driven by a genuine urge to depict the world in all of its facets through her writings. Fascinated by a good story and a word’s power. In for the thrill. A constant traveler, she couples writing with the art of the wanderer’s experience – combining different cultures, meeting new people, the need of change through stability.

Part of the “Happy Week” team, having served the magazine as special editor and copywriter in several issues, she believes in creating tomorrows by narrating nowadays: through refined memories or stories we tend to co-opt, deeply draught from yesterday – illustrating the way.

She reads, thinks, designs and writes reflecting human initiatives, regarding all the above.

Not one to be reached on the phone easily… he’s usually found between an i-Mac and a Pantone palette, if he’s not too busy rendering!
